         We are working for fast changing, demanding, challenging clothing&textile industry. New styles, colours, trims,materials are coming into our lifes . It's fast consumption and no one seems to slow down.

It is said that fashion industry is the second most polluting industry in the world after oil and gas. May be ranking is not correct, but the best estimate is between 4th and 9th. According to United Nations' (www.unfashionalliance.org) datas, 75 million people work in the clothing and textile industry contributing $2,4 billions to global manufacturing. The Industry is responsible for %8-10 of world's greenhouse gas emissions and %20 of industrial wastewater pollution worldwide.

        It is clear that the industry has huge impact on our planet's enviroment.

        It's our our only, unique and sole planet and if humanity continues to consume so, it's not going to be home for our children.

         In Karmateks we believe that ( to simlify I take it as Newton's law ) every cause has an effect. If we expect our children live on beautiful " pale blue dot " we have to learn how to protect it and people on it.

        In our philosophy of our sustainable clothing&textile industry, fundamental criterias are the conservation of natural resources, the low environmental impact of the materials used - to be subject to later join the recycling chain - reducing the carbon footprint and respect for the economic and labor conditions of the workers who participated from raw materials to the selling point. As members of huge industry we have to change our production styles, our materials. 

        We have to find new ways of reducing wastes, recycling materials and reusing everything we can. Therefore we prefer to use natural, unblended, organic or recycled materials for production. Organic and/or recycled cotton, hemp, bamboo, rayon, linen, cupro, wool, cashmere, Tencel, recycled PET, Recycled PES fabrics, recycle padding, fibres, down/insulations with Oeko-tex certified dyes, threads etc... are not our new lines they are our standarts.
